    CACI is looking to hire a Software Engineer to join our team in either Sterling, VA or Chantilly, VA. We aim to rapidly enhance Navy tactical operations by developing advanced shipboard intelligence and warfare systems using open-architecture software and electromagnetic spectrum expertise to facilitate rapid and informed decisions.

    This team provides innovative data architectures that combine streaming events from legacy and emerging threat detection capabilities with authoritative models to identify complex event patterns and support operator decision making. Were building solutions that combine data lakes, data warehouses, and knowledge stores into next generation threat detection and response capabilities.

    **What you'll get to do:**

    + Collaborate in the design and implementation of distributed server-based infrastructure as well as modern web-based applications.

    + Collaborate with hardware or software designers/engineers and analysts to develop, analyze, and evaluate hardware, software, and systems.

    + Evaluate emerging technologies to determine advantages and disadvantages of potential solutions in virtual, web-based, and desktop applications.

    + Work with the development and testing team to devise quality and performance related metrics and continuous testing systems.

    + Contribute to the ongoing improvement of DevOps related practices and culture.

    **Youll Bring These Qualifications**

    + A minimum of 2 -20 years of experience programming in Java, C++, or Python

    + Bachelors or equivalent in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

    + Solid understanding of complex software design concepts

    + Scripting languages, for example Python, BASH, or similar.

    + Familiarity with Linux and real time operating systems.

    + Familiarity of IP networking concepts.

    + Strong analytical Skills (ability to analyze and work through complicated issues).

    + Excellent communication skills.

    + Effective teamwork skills.

    **These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have**

    + Experience with AWS (including any AWS Certifications)

    + Background in web technologies is highly desired.

    + Experience with database programming and cloud technologies.

    + Experience with Python and scripting.

    + Working knowledge of signal processing fundamental

    + Willingness to learn and apply the best technology for a given application.

    **A TS/SCI clearance is required to begin employment. For this position, CACI has the ability to provide clearance sponsorship for qualified individuals.**

    The proposed salary range for this position is:

    $74,600-$156,700
