- Offer advice and support to the Agency's leadership and business units
- Coordinate outside counsel as directed
- Support the Secretary to the Board of Directors
- Assist in structuring and executing transactions
- Review and supervise production of transaction documents
- Negotiate agreements to protect the Agency's interests
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda
- Review and advise on changes to statutes and regulations
- Assist in developing new products and programs
- Help obtain necessary government approvals
- Assist in drafting legislation related to Agency's authority
- Review multifamily applications and prepare notices and resolutions
- Conduct hearings for bond transactions
- Draft handbooks, manuals, and provide training
- Update and enforce Agency's guidelines
- Negotiate and draft investment documents
- Support risk management and compliance functions
- Lead on technology issues and collaborate with IT
- Perform other assigned duties
- Juris Doctor Degree
- Active member of the bar
- 7-10+ years experience in various legal areas
- Litigation knowledge is a plus
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Ability to autonomously manage complex projects
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Work proactively in a fast-paced environment
- High standards of integrity and quality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 365
