    Job Description Qualifications:

    Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a First Line Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead an integrated team for the KC-46 Program in Everett, WA. This Manager will lead a diverse high performing team in the areas of production and delivery support as well as developmental program support.

    This position will have the responsibility of integrating with both internal business partners, external business partners, and customers. This manager will be expected to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. Furthermore, this role will require oversight and approval of technical approaches, costs, projects, products, and processes and will also manage, engage, develop, and motivate employees. Additional responsibilities include the managing of cost, quality, schedule, and safety activities as well as developing and executing improvements processes and projects in alignment with program priorities.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Manages, engages, develops, and motivates employees on basic statement of work, including:
      • Production and Delivery Support
      • Installation Plan development
      • Change Management
      • Improvements Projects
      • InSync Reconciliation (As Designed/As Built)
      • Internal Supplier Support
      • IPT Support
      • Tooling Build Planning
      • Gated Reviews
      • Contract Data Requirements
      • Manufacturing Readiness Assessments and Final Production Readiness Reviews
    • Support of Everett Delivery Center (EDC) and Everett Modification Center (EMC) KC-46 production and delivery operations.
    • Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Manage budget, quality, schedule, and safety activities as well as developing and executing improvements processes and projects in alignment with program priorities.
    • Monitor group performance against program and functional commitments and developing technical employees within the group.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. The candidate is also expected to work weekend (manager rotation) and daily overtime as required. This position involves daily exposure to factory and flight line environments which includes stairs, trip hazards, high noise areas, and entering airplanes during their many stages of build and test.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends when necessary.

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Current or prior Production Engineering experience.
    • 5+ years of experience working in production environment.
    • Experience in leading or managing teams.
    • Ability to adapt to changing scope, responsibilities, and job requirements.
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
