Psychiatric Rehabilitation (PRP) Housing Specialist- Full‑Time
Location: Salisbury, MD
Salary Range: $40,000–$55,000 annually
Schedule: Four‑day, 36-hour work week — Monday through Thursday
Position Summary
The Housing Specialist is responsible for assisting with housing search and placement with clients who have co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in developing person-centered treatment plans, monitoring, and documenting progress, that includes housing procurement, financial, and self-sufficiency goals.
- Attend agency housing meetings weekly, community housing meetings, and establish relationships with community shelters.
- Provide high quality treatment using evidenced based practices.
- Coordinate treatment and stabilization with identified natural supports and with community service providers.
- Provide mediation and advocacy with landlords on the client's behalf to develop a workable plan to obtain and or maintain housing.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years related experience.
- Valid full driver's license with a safe driving record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
