    Description

    About the Role: The Director, Business Development will lead the outbound selling efforts for brands in our Decorative Finishes portfolio. They will execute outbound sales efforts focused on the Architect and Design (A&D) community. This position is less project management, more sales-driver.

    Responsibilities:

     Develop and execute outbound lead generation sales strategies to achieve annual sales goals.

     Drive incremental business to meet and exceed the Company's annual sales and profit objectives.

     Develop a Funnel program to identify and follow-up on A&D leads. Execute outbound sales efforts with a proactive sales development mentality.

     Identify key influencers and decision makers to drive awareness and sales of Renovation Brands products.

     Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic market influencers (architects, engineers, designers, property managers, developers, strategic partnerships...)

     Identify potential sales channels and develop partnerships to support business strategy.

     Actively engage sales team in all sales opportunities uncovered and provide ongoing support to the process with in-person, virtual, phone, and email support.

     Consistently meet with potential and key clients at their offices and on job sites. Assist sales representatives with maintaining & growing relationships, including supporting the negotiation and closing of sales.

     Present to leadership and sales team a business plan detailing quarterly objectives, key targets, and strategies to build relationships with accounts.

     Update, maintain. and utilize Sales Reporting Dashboards in Salesforce and NetSuite. Report on KPIs and develop action plans to drive continuous improvement.

     Present continuing education units (CEUs) to industry experts, building brand awareness and driving sales.  Work with the Marketing department to recommend Trade Pro outreach and industry event participation throughout the year.

     Represent Company at trade association meetings (e.g., AIA, ASID, NKBA, DPHA, etc.), trade shows, and other events to promote our brands and products.

     Collaborate with leadership to provide input into marketing and promotion activities to drive sales.

     Monitor competitor pricing and propose price adjustments to maximize profitable sales growth.

    Qualifications & Skills:

     Education: bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Business or other related field.

     Experience: 5+ years in commercial sales for home and building products.

     Cooperative team player with an upbeat, positive, "can-do" approach.

     Possess a strong network from previous experience.
