- Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed regarding revenue accounting and cash disbursements.
- Assist in the preparation of bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and tax reconciliations in conjunction with Corporate Accounting Manager.
- Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations on assigned accounts.
- Daily balancing of credit card batches settled to posted and received batches.
- Ensure open items identified during the daily reconciliation process have been communicated with follow-up as necessary.
- Prepare and post assigned monthly financial statement journal entries.
- Assist in preparation of reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Reconcile portfolio inter-hotel banking activities.
- Prepare files for month end ownership reporting in a timely manner
- Monitor compliance to QHR policies & procedures & Management Standards.
- Assist in oversight of all aspects of financial internal controls, monitor compliance, and report all instances of noncompliance.
- Assist Corporate Accounting Manager to ensure tax compliance is maintained to include filing and remittance of state local sales/use, beverage, and occupancy tax returns in a timely manner on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Compile data for tax returns.
- Two plus years progressive experience in hospitality accounting.
- A 2-year associates degree is preferred.
- Must be proficient in Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
- Knowledge of M3 back-office system preferred.

The Staff Accountant assists in the direction and coordination of accounting as it relates to cash management, balance sheet reconciliation, and tax reconciliation. In addition, the staff accountant is responsible for the maintenance of financial and internal control activities of the centralized accounting function.
Compensation: $28 - $32 / hour
