    JOB OVERVIEW:
    The TA Specialist supports activities for talent acquisition of frontline and salaried restaurant managers at Cheddars Scratch Kitchen.

    The TA Specialist will be responsible for managing company career pages across the internet and job board postings and engage in social media networking strategies, including researching and recommending innovative recruitment methods, to communicate job vacancies in specialized markets.


    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Expert level understanding of all Talent Related Systems understands, teaches and supports operators with the Talent Acquisition, PeopleSoft and Onboarding Systems by responding to daily questions and inquiries.
    • Owns Talent Marketing for brand to include hourly ad requests, social campaigns, enhancements to the careers page, design and develops all Staffing collateral materials, and brand staffing communications.
    • Partners with the Social Media/ Communications teams to support recruitment and Employment Branding.
    • Ensures strong online presence of companys Employer Brand by managing social media platforms: Cheddars Career Site, krowD, Facebook, Glassdoor, Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.
    Including the creation and distribution of online content aimed to attract frontline and management candidates, as well as, researching and recommending innovative recruitment methods.

    Develops and recommends frontline hiring strategies, particularly in challenging staffing markets to Operations Leaders, including job advertising, local marketing campaigns and resources.


    • Partners with Brand operations leaders to plan and execute internal hiring events which includes promotion of Open Houses through online advertising, creating and maintaining effective recruitment collateral, analyzing and tracking metrics (including ROI), and communicating results to grow best practices.
    • Develops and maintains strong relationships across all stakeholders and provides professional talent acquisition services to existing operations leaders and external vendors.
    Responsible to assist in the sourcing of new and potential vendor partners to strengthen recruitment and hiring practices.

    • Analyzes, monitors data and reports on recruiting metrics and key drivers used to influence talent acquisition strategies around hiring source, MIT Compensation and applicant flow.
    Evaluates effectiveness of external recruiting sources and makes recommendations for improvement and/or to discontinue services.

    • Owns the MITs experience by administration of candidate through the hiring process, supporting MIT travel as needed and processing invoices or pay related matters.
    • Creates and manages talent acquisition training and marketing materials for training and development of MITs, Managers and Managing Partners to be used in learning session, on krowD and for talent acquisition marketing collateral.
    • Facilitates talent acquisition learning sessions to train and develop skill sets of MITs, Managers and Managing Partners.
    • Manages krowD content for talent acquisition and the HR function, as needed.
    • Assists in all special projects and other duties as assigned.
    -0-5% - travel between local restaurants, conferences or other meetings

    REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    • Advanced computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
    • Competent in IBM Kenexa/Brassring (Darden Applicant Tracking System (TAS))
    • Competent in navigation and use of Social Media sites, such as, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Google+, Twitter, and future platforms

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:
    Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or 7+ years equivalent work experience in restaurant management or in human resources (preferably in talent acquisition)

    OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of 3 5 years recruiting experience in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality organization
    • Minimum of 2 years expertise in social media candidate engagement and sourcing skills
    Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with operations clients and external vendors with an emphasis on guest focus

    • Demonstrates a sense of urgency, self initiative and results orientation
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work well in a team environment with the ability to communicate under pressure and use tact when responding to applicants and Operations Leaders
    • Ability to work independently, as well as with others, and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to identify, analyze, and utilize resources to complete job accountabilities
    • Ability to effectively handle high volume of requests under strict deadlines
    • Ability to maintain composure in stressful environments

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • PHR or SPHR Certified
    • Masters degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
    • Bilingual (Spanish)
    • Restaurant Management experience, especially at Darden Restaurants, a plus
