    Simple Technology Solutions is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Specialist to add to our team.

    Quick Position Overview:

    • Must be either a U.S. citizen
    • Bachelor's Degree is required
    • minimum of 7 year position related experience is required
    • All candidates will require a Department of Homeland Security TSA Clearance to work on this program.
    • AWS Associate Level Certification Required

    The Role:

    The Senior HR Infrastructure Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the operations and maintenance of the TSA human capital technology stack. This stack, primarily hosted on AWS, encompasses a range of technologies including ServiceNow, multiple databases, AWS services, Drupal, and containerization. Responsibilities include system administration, platform administration, network engineering, and database administration. Key tasks involve setting up and maintaining application environments and databases in accordance with industry best practices and TSA security guidance, monitoring and tuning system and application performance, planning and supporting patch management for all applications, and collaborating closely with security engineers to handle non-compliance and vulnerability issues. Additionally, the role involves assisting team members with research and troubleshooting of system errors and performance problems.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Application and System Maintenance: 50%
    • System Performance Activities: 20%
    • Patch Management: 20%
    • Ad-hoc Infrastructure and System Administration Activities: 10%

    Education and Experience:

    Required

    • Minimum 7 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
    • 7+ years of experience with AWS administration, including architecting and maintaining AWS solutions
    • 5+ years of experience with database administration, modeling, tuning, backup and recovery
    • 3+ years of experience with implementing and maintaining network configuration in cloud environments
    • 3+ years of experience with supporting containerized solutions
    • 7+ years of experience in researching issues and providing solutions
    • 5+ years of experience in customer relationship management, including effective oral and written communications
    • Must be able to work the hours of 8am-5pm Eastern Time regardless of your home location

    Required Certifications

    • AWS Associate Certification

    Preferred Skills

    • Understanding of SaaS platforms, such as ServiceNow and Salesforce
    • Experience with human capital systems, especially in support of Federal customers
    • Experience working in an agile environment, preferably using SAFe
