    AECOM is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy NEPA Compliance Specialist to support compliance efforts for renewable energy and transmission line projects on federal lands.

    The ideal candidate will possess expertise in contributing to and leading intricate environmental studies and permitting efforts for renewable energy projects.

    This role demands exceptional communication, technical proficiency, and writing abilities, alongside keen attention to detail and the capacity to lead interdisciplinary teams.

    Growth opportunities include fostering client relationships, engaging in marketing and business development, and overseeing diverse and progressively complex projects with interdisciplinary teams.

    Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

    Manage or assist in managing NEPA documents Prepare or oversee the preparation of development, utilization, and operation plans Evaluate the need for technical studies and management plans or assess data adequacy Utilize knowledge of planning and NEPA regulations for federal agencies, such as the Department of the Interior, to advise renewable energy clients Plan, execute, and facilitate public and agency meetings Oversee internal project teams and their work products Serve as a staff advisor and consultant for one or more technical specialties Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws Collaborate effectively to implement multiple ongoing projects to successful completion

    Qualifications


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience in environmental permitting and planning or equivalent demonstrated experience and/or education

    Preferred Qualifications:

    10+ years of relevant experience in NEPA compliance, report writing, and environmental compliance

    Project experience involving solar projects, other renewables, or transmission lines on federal lands

    Experience in project management Knowledge of federal environmental laws and their implementing regulations, including the National Environmental Policy Act, Clean Water Act, Clean

    Air Act, Endangered Species Act, and the National Historic Preservation Act Awareness of current issues and projects related to the Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service, and other federally administered lands
