- Coordinate and carry out critical parts inspection using a variety of inspection tools such as micrometers, indicators, manual and digital height gages, bore gages, optical comparator, videoscope, profilometer, and CMM.
- Communicate with engineers and suppliers on manufactured part quality issues and generate non-conforming reports (NCR's) and corrective and preventative actions (CAPA's) as needed.
- Organize inspection and calibration records, maintain inspection rooms and coordinate, perform, and update calibrations of measuring tools and instruments.
- Assist engineering with root cause analysis of design and service-related issues and assist with documentation of customer complaints and resolution
- Assist in regular and annual internal/external audits of our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and perform supplier audits and new supplier qualifications, as needed.
- Assist with monthly reporting of quality metrics such as NCR's, CAPA's, complaints, RGA's, and on-time deliveries.
- 2 to 3 years' experience in a quality assurance, quality inspector, or quality technician role
- Bachelor's degree in engineering field or advanced technical degree with related coursework
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and use basic measuring precision tools such as micrometers, indicators, height gages, calipers, and bore gages
- Excellent communication, time management and computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency. CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred.
- CMM operation and programming and familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems preferred
- Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing personnel on the quality control and inspection of various precision products and processes across the company.
- Conduct critical parts inspections using an optical comparator, video microscope, profilometer and CMM on machine components and dies and special tooling to identify and address quality issues and generate corrective actions.
- Perform root cause analysis of design and service-related issues, maintain inspection records and equipment and review manufacturing, inspection and packaging processes while monitoring effectiveness.
- Perform final pre-shipment inspection of machinery/tooling and close-out documentation.
- Oversee and implement the Kinefac ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System including audits, monthly reporting of quality metrics (such as non-conformances, complaints, RGA's & CAR's) and tool/instrument calibrations using measuring tools and instruments (such as CMM).
- Participate in safety committee and coordinate of OSHA requirements companywide.
- Serve as point person for quality control throughout the organization and perform additional mechanical engineering tasks as required.
- 1-2 years of mechanical engineering experience and 2+ years in a quality control engineering or quality assurance role
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or advanced technical degree with related coursework
- Proficient in reading manufacturing drawings, using basic measuring tools and operating a Zeiss Prismo or similar CMM
- Working experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems preferred
- Attention to detail with strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, analytical and PC skills including Microsoft Office, SPC tools, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD software proficiency
- Ability to effectively manage deadlines, coordinate multiple projects, and work independently within a team-oriented environment

QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST
Supporting the Quality Control Engineer and reporting to the Director of Research & Development, you will collaborate with engineers and manufacturing personnel on the quality control and inspection of various precision products and processes across the company. Initially, the Quality Assurance Specialist will be introduced to the different divisions and product lines at Kinefac through training and hands-on participation.

QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER
Seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a newly created position overseeing company-wide quality. . Position involves a top-down understanding of what we do and our technology, assessing design and assembly processes, and providing improvement recommendations that increase efficiency and reduce cost. Reporting to the Director of Research & Development, initially, the Quality Control Engineer will be trained in the different engineering divisions and product lines at Kinefac through hands-on participation in these areas.
