- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure and services in an Azure cloud environment.
- Develop and implement automation tools and processes to streamline deployment, monitoring, and management tasks.
- Perform UAT and Production software deployments.
- Collaborate with development teams to design applications for reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Monitor system performance and reliability metrics, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and improve performance.
- Participate in incident response and on-call rotation, identifying root causes of incidents and implementing preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of infrastructure and systems to identify potential areas for improvement and optimization.
- Assist with vulnerability scans, PCI scans, and emerging threats to protect the attack surface.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in site reliability engineering and cloud computing, and incorporate them into our practices and processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement metrics and objectives to measure and improve system reliability and availability.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure that infrastructure and services are designed and operated with security best practices in mind.
- Strong understanding of Windows systems administration and networking concepts.
- Experience with managing IIS, .Net, SQL Server environments.
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms, Azure preferred.
- Proficiency and experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools and incident management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed, high-availability environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Relevant Azure certifications are a plus.
- Desired Bachelor's degree in computer science or comparable degree, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on site reliability engineering, system administration, or software engineering.
