    Description

    Currently partnered with a well-established broker dealer that is looking for a Director of Compliance to join their Electronic Trading team. This role requires a candidate with compliance advisory experience, ideally with a background in algo trading.

    Responsibilities:

    • Advise business areas on firm policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
    • Identify regulatory trends and developments affecting business areas and advise staff on potential impacts on their activities.
    • Maintain and oversee the Firm's Electronic Trading activities.
    • Assist the business in implementing and documenting various supervisory/control mechanisms.
    • Draft, update, and implement relevant policies and procedures.
    • Conduct testing and monitoring of compliance with firm policies for covered business areas.

    Position Requirements:

    • Approximately 8+ years of securities advisory experience, preferably with knowledge of trading algorithms, alternative trading systems, and market structure.
    • Significant experience providing legal, regulatory, or compliance advice to Electronic Trading Business.
    • Strong knowledge of applicable securities laws, rules, and regulations, including FED, Client, SEC, CFTC, NYSE, MSRB, OCC, and Exchange Level SRO regulations.
    • Experience in Municipality Securities or Fixed Income would be preferred.

    Base Salary - $175,000-$200,000 depending on experience.
