    Manager, Risk Management Policy, Recovery & Resolution

    The

    Manager, Risk Management Policy, Recovery & Resolution

    will be responsible for managing efforts to shape risk management policy, leveraging knowledge, expertise and analytical skills.

    Support the Senior Director, Risk Policy, Recovery & Resolution in building out risk management policies related to current and evolving regulatory obligations, with specific focus on SEC and CFTC regulations for recovery and wind-down planning for clearing houses.

    The Manager, Risk Management Policy must have strong knowledge of U.S. regulatory requirements for clearing houses and be able to apply that knowledge to clearing house rules and services.

    The Manager, Risk Management Policy, Recovery & Resolution will be responsible for establishing and maintaining risk management policies consistent with relevant regulations, particularly relating to recovery and wind-down plans for CME Group's clearing services.

    This role will work closely with other stakeholders, particularly the risk management team, in supporting scenario and resource analysis for recovery and wind-down planning.

    Serve as an in-house expert on recovery and wind-down planning and provide clearing senior management advice on related policy issues and developments.

    The Manager, Risk Management Policy will also support the evaluation of how recovery and wind-down planning for CME Group's clearing services interacts with the broader CME Group.

    This role will work closely with a variety of divisions in CME Group, including, but not limited to, Finance and Legal, in relation to clearing house recovery and wind-down plans.

    In doing so, this role will interact with all levels of colleagues within these divisions and must possess sufficient expertise and communications skills to tailor engagement with a variety of subject matter experts.

    The Manager, Risk Management Policy will also engage externally with regulators, policy-makers and market participants on policy matters impacting the clearing house.

    Education & Experience
    Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, political science, or related. Law degree a plus.

    Candidate should have a minimum of 6+ years' experience in risk management policy, working at a regulator, clearing house, or other regulated entity.

    Possess strong written communication skills and analytical and problem-solving skills, along with being highly detail oriented with respect to drafting policies and analyzing complex regulatory requirements relative to CME Group's rules.

    Knowledge of U.S. regulatory requirements and more broadly, knowledge of financial markets and securities and derivatives products.
    Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
