Our special education teachers are dedicated and caring They provide necessary support to both students and their team. They promote a healthy community and encourage positive change. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8am-4pm, Fridays until 3pm. Buxmont Academy has six campuses in southeastern PA and uses restorative practices to encourage students to grow academically and emotionally. Our teachers, counselors, and support staff work together to build a healthy community environment for our students.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE AS A SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

Primary responsibilities for the special education teacher position include providing 1-on-1 and small group tutoring to students grades 7-12, creating and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEP), and conducting IEP meetings. Your days will involve providing support and guidance to students, collaborating with colleagues to create inclusive learning environments, and implementing innovative teaching strategies.

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree or higher level of education, and either PA special education certification or the ability to obtain certification.We welcome qualified candidates who are interested in becoming teachers. We also welcome retired teachers who miss being in the classroom
