    Brown and Caldwell (BC) has an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our growing Boise, ID office. In collaboration with the Area and Local Leader, Client Service Managers, Technical Service Leaders, and the Marketing Manager, this position will help develop and maintain relationships with our clients, connect BC solutions to client needs, lead project teams in quality project delivery, and guide procurement stages leading to new opportunities. General opportunities include infrastructure studies and design as they pertain to municipal infrastructure for the water and wastewater industry.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    In this role you will serve as a project manager for a wide variety of water related projects within our northwest operation. You will work closely with our team of subject matter experts and design disciplines to deliver innovative water projects. Typical work areas might include:


    • Helps develop high-value client relationships, while representing BC.

    • Engages and cultivates project teams to support understanding and delivering on client needs and expectations.

    • Creates client engagement strategies and pursuit plans, actively leading in key opportunity proposal strategy, positioning, teaming, messaging and interview development.

    • Serves as project manager or technical resource for key clients. Manage multi-disciplinary resources to deliver projects on schedule and budget and according to client critical success factors.

    • Ensures quality client services, clarity on work products, and delivery of high-quality services within budget and schedule constraints.

    • Utilizes internal systems for communication, tracking and collaboration on projects and opportunities.

    • Supports development of staff members, especially as it relates to exceptional client service delivery, strategic planning, and effective communication.

    • Meets identified performance metrics including annual sales goals, project budgets and schedules.

    • Leverages resources, experience, and skills of the firm to support client goals.

    • Participates in professional societies, creating connections for BC and technical professionals in support of client goals.

    • Leads project team in planning and/or designing major engineering projects and coordinate special planning, and engineering studies.

    • Leads with the preparation of pipeline condition assessments.

    • Leads the evaluation of existing service area utility assets and develop corresponding recommendations for rehabilitation or replacement.

    • Leads and/or provides support in the design of the rehabilitation or replacement of water and wastewater-buried infrastructure.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:


    • degree in related engineering field (Civil, Environmental, Process Mechanical etc.) required, in related engineering field with a focus on wastewater, stormwater or water treatment and distribution services.

    • A minimum of 5 years' experience in consulting and engineering services in the environmental sector with progressive responsibilities including business development and project delivery especially for water and wastewater.

    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and lead strong project teams meeting project requirements.

    • Proven track record of successfully managing projects and delivering on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations.

    • Proven understanding of environmental and regulatory drivers for clients and projects.

    • Proven technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually are required.

    Preferred Qualifications:


    • Professional Engineer registration, or the ability to obtain one in the State of Idaho within six months.

    Salary Range: Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

    Location A:

    Salary: $103,000 - $141,000 annually
