The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) works under physician direction and under the supervision of the Respiratory Care Clinical Team Manager.Performs routine respiratory care procedures including updrafts metered dose inhalers chest physiotherapy arterial blood gases incentive spirometry intrapulmonary percussive ventilation patient education mechanical ventilator setup management assists in codes rapid responses enters patient treatment notes e-chart system places documentation patient charts calls equipment medical supplies assigned work areas employees role must fitted donning performing tasks personal protective equipment N95 masks Powered Air Purifying Respirators Controlled Air Purifying Respirators Physical Requirements Frequently stand Occasionally sit Walk Frequently bend crawl crouch kneel stoop reach overhead Lift carry weight Push pull weight Use hands touch handle feel Frequently Talk Continuously Hear Continuously Taste smell Occasionally Read concentrate analytically Continuously Inside Medical Facility Environment Moderate Color discrimination Depth perception Far visual acuity Near visual acuity Biological Chemical Dust Electrical Fumes/Odors/Radiation Sharp objects/tools #UAMSRespiratory Commensurate with education experience
