    Contributes to Winchester Physician Associates' mission by aiding in providing top-notch, safe clinical care in the ambulatory setting. This clinical role will influence patient experience by promoting positive outcomes through a collaborative team approach to care and enhancing patient satisfaction by reducing wait times and maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and inviting environment.Job Description:JOB FUNCTIONS:
    • Provides clinical support to providers
    • Welcomes and assists patients, ensuring their comfort
    • Takes vital signs and obtains patient history
    • Supports nurse, physician, or clinician during patient visits and procedures
    • Maintains cleanliness and organization of patient areas
    • Orders supplies & equipment and maintains inventory
    • Assists with patients' scheduling and insurance inquiries
    • Coordinates referrals and pre-authorizations
    • Updates patient records and ensures completion of required documentation
    • Assists with medical record management
    • Performs front desk and check-out duties
    • Ensures smooth practice operations and patient flow
    • Adheres to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
    • Assists in patient crisis situations and emergencies

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Education
    Required: High school diploma or equivalent
    Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

    Training Required: Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or equivalent healthcare training
    Experience Preferred: Previous experience in a healthcare setting
    Other Skills/Knowledge
    Required:
    - Basic computer and typing skills with attention to detail
    - Proficiency in English for effective communication with patients and team members
    LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS
    Preferred: Medical Assistant Certification

    LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Basic Life Support
