    About the Job:

    A Building Enclosure Project Engineer is responsible for providing and supporting Building Envelope Commissioning/Consulting Services to a wide variety of clients on a variety of project types from University Campus, Medical and Research facilities, Battery and Manufacturing plants and commercial projects. Responsibilities include consulting, testing, and commissioning a variety of building enclosure systems.

    Essential Functions:

    • Support the oversee of Design Reviews and submittal and shop drawing reviews
    • Oversee periodic site inspections
    • Testing of exterior envelope systems, both in the field and in laboratory settings.
    • Review site reports and maintain logs of ongoing project issues.
    • Provide client support as it relates to the envelope systems.
    • Responsible for project scheduling and budgets.
    • Development of project management standards and procedures.
    • Attend conferences and industry events.
    • Maintain existing client relationships and assist in new client/project relations.
    • Any special projects as required

    Essential Qualifications and Attributes:

    • General understanding of the fundamentals and detailing of various façade types.
    • Genuine interest in following a project through from design through post occupancy.
    • Strong interest in being in the field, witnessing envelope systems being installed and tested.
    • Strong wiring skills, experience in past site report writing is a plus.
    • Able to adapt quickly and work well with others, especially under tight deadlines.
    • Willingness to travel.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Comfort with conveying ideas quickly through note writing and sketching.
    • Working knowledge of Revit is a plus.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture / Engineering or Master's degree.
    • Experience working in an architectural firm or experience doing Construction Administration.
    • Willingness and ability to travel at a regular frequency.
