    Description


    American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level IV NICU position at a children's hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Level III-IV NICU experience and a WA or compact RN license.

    Details

    70-bed Level IV NICU within a 152-bed children's hospital, with a typical census of around 50 patients
    Patient population includes premature infants as young as 22 weeks gestation, RDS, high-risk deliveries, feeders/growers, and NAS; preferred experience with surgical patients and HIE
    NICU features private rooms, with potential overflow to Level II Nursery for feeders/growers
    Attached to an adult hospital with high-risk labor and delivery services
    12-hour night shifts (1900–0730)
    36 hours per week
    Every other weekend rotation required; occasional back-to-back weekends possible
    No on-call requirements
    Block scheduling is possible
    Floating to the ER as a sitter is possible but rare
    Epic EMR
    Requirements

    Active WA state RN license or compact RN license required
    Current BLS and NRP certifications required
    Minimum 2 years of Level III-IV NICU experience required
    Proficiency with respiratory support including vents, trachs, NCPAP, and related equipment
    Experience with g-tubes, NG/OG tubes, UAC/UVC management, and PICC lines
    Skills in medication administration, care planning, and discharge-to-home coordination
    Surgical NICU patient experience and HIE experience preferred
    At least one supervisor-level reference required for consideration; a second reference will be required prior to start
    Additional Information

    Provide comprehensive neonatal nursing care in a high-acuity Level IV NICU setting
    First-time travelers will be considered, though travel experience is strongly preferred
    Candidates should bring a positive, friendly attitude and strong team collaboration skills
    Any scrub color is acceptable

    American Traveler Job ID #P Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined
