- Work independently following established quality and safety standards
- Receive and interpret work instructions, operation sheets, and setup sheets
- Read and understand dimensional drawings and manufacturing instructions
- Complete machine setups without supervision
- Collaborate with Engineering on projects
- Train and support other CNC Machinists
- Operate CNC machines to machine forgings made from various metals
- Load and unload pieces, apply coolant lubricant, and change tools when necessary
- Use precision measuring devices to ensure dimensions and finishes meet specifications
- Handle material with care during operations
- Perform other assigned duties
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 7 years' machining experience, preferably in the aerospace industry
- Experience with large parts, milling, and Akuma controls
- Ability to operate multiple equipment simultaneously
- Turning experience is a plus
- Knowledge of machining principles, GD&T, blueprint and program reading
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments

Primary Purpose of this Job
The main goal of this role is to operate different types and sizes of computer numeric controlled (CNC) production machine tools to machine forgings or stock to meet customer requirements, using various cutting tools.
