Job Description
The
Project Manager, ESC Program , is responsible for facilitating all aspects of front-end project initiation, planning, and execution reporting for the Equipment Supply Chain (ESC) Program.
This position is based on-site at the customer's location and is responsible for the execution of RFI/RFQ processes, managing project plans, creating P.O.
submittal packages and conducting follow-ups with internal stakeholders on project opportunities.In addition to the above this position is responsible for maintaining project KPI's and aligning metrics to represent the health of the projects and program as a whole.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of global heavy haul machine moves and the pricing, planning, and coordination required to outline project requirements for a smooth transition to the execution team responsible for project moves.
Key Responsibilities:
Build customer relationship and provide excellent customer service, understanding their needs and goals
Identify and address issues that impact customer satisfaction and improve customer experience
Establish program KPIs as they align with annual OKRs
Maintain project metrics specific to on-time delivery, safety, quality, spend, and savings globally
Create and manage project plans based on customer business requirements
Create and maintain change notices for all projects experiencing scope creep or changes
Ensure all projects follow the proper project management life cycle and include proper documentation (e.g., project charters, project documentation for public consumption, technical documentation, end-user documentation, document storage and controls)
Communicate key milestones to the project to all key stakeholders
Lead project calls discussing progress, risks, challenges and ultimately facilitate decision-making
Collaborate with ESC project team to build consistency in all processes and procedures
Conduct post-implementation reviews (i.e., evaluate performance against defined project goals)
Organizes and manages project activities across vendors, carriers, factories, contract manufacturers
Review engineering design drawings and align with project scope
Execute RFI/RFQ processes
Investigate and root cause incidents such as damage events if and when they arise
Manage regional local transportation matters as they arise and as required by the customer
Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in project management, including emerging tools, techniques and best practices and proactively apply new knowledge to improve processes
Qualifications
Bachelors or equivalent experience
5+ years experience in supply chain and logistics, specifically in heavy haul, machine projects
Industry certifications such as Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, Supply Chain, PMP is preferred
Manufacturing or machine production knowledge (a plus)
Excellent customer service skills, including negotiation, proven ability to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
Experience with data centers and large-scale construction projects
Risk sensitive, recognizes when problems arise or are likely to arise
Ability to understand financials and develop budgets
Must be willing to occasionally work outside normal business hours, including weekends
