Spherion Staffing is looking for Material Handlers to work for a local client. The Material Handler is responsible for working directly with production operators and set-up personnel. Ensures that production operators are supplied with raw material, removes finished goods and empties scrap containers. Assist set-up personnel with removing dies and placement of dies in the press. Ensure that the production area is supplied with dies and raw material as requested. Assist other departments and coworkers as needed.

Monday-Friday 11pm-7am
Pay starting at $20 - $25/hr + 30% diff


Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift in the production area to supply materials to multiple equipment operators in a safe, accurate and efficient manner
• Check inputs and inventory movements in computer system
• Put away raw material and move finished goods to trailers from production areas
• Provide production with raw material work in progress (including child parts), containers, and dies.

Removes scrap, dies and finished goods from Production

• Use the scale to piece count and weigh the finished product
• Clean and rearrange things to improve working conditions in a safe and efficient manner
• Follow all safety regulations
• Keep all material neat and orderly

Working hours: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of recent related experience
• Strong working knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods and practices used in material handling and warehouse operations.
• Working knowledge of related safety equipment to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions
• Ability to anticipate potential bottlenecks in the production process and react to them in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to work well under pressure in a safe and efficient manner
