- Prepares, complies and assists customers with opening/closing all types of accounts including personal accounts, IRAs, CDs, HSAs and business accounts. Assists customers with wire transfer requests, ordering checks, debit cards, customer information updates, stop payments, account ownership changes, endorsement questions, safe deposit boxes, possible fraud/forgery situations and various other maintenance items.
- Responsible for enduring all new account compliance documents are obtained while opening a new relationship and/or a new account. Including but not limited to CIP, CDD, OFAC, Beneficial Ownership and any other item needed to meet regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of the Bank's products/services and the customer's current relationship, offers information on Bank products and services that can benefit the customer and enhance their banking relationship. Evaluates needs of the potential and current customers and offers appropriate guidance on financial products and services.
- Processes and works various reports to support the overall customer experience and other departments within the Bank.
- Assists other departments and branches with transactions as needed, provide support for the department and Branch Managers in fulfilling customer requests in a timely manner.
- Participates in branch opening/closing schedules, bi-weekly Saturday rotations and ensures that all schedules are covered. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, the Office of Foreign Assets Control and all security policies and procedures.
- Maintains the most stringent standards of customer service confidentiality.

ROLE
This position is the first impression of Customer Service at Legacy Bank with the overall purpose of providing quality and efficiency to customers who prefer face-to-face interaction. This position will demonstrate outstanding customer service and a thorough understanding of all products and services that will provide a valuable and long lasting banking relationship. They will be required to be knowledgeable in all new account processes while understanding bank regulations required to be compliant. This position will educate customers about delivery options and refer the appropriate products and services matching the customer needs. They will also be responsible for providing personalized banking services to the financial institution customer by performing the following duties.
All employees are expected to actively promote Legacy Bank to existing and prospective customers in order to obtain and build the Bank's customer base and thereby enhance Legacy Bank's growth and profitability.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Experience:
Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
Education, Certifications, and Licenses
A high school degree or GED is required.
Interpersonal Skills
Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring. Communications generally require shorter and not in-depth discussions.

Physical Requirements
Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
Mental Requirements
Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
