General Description:
With the increasing demand for wireless communication, machine learning is being leveraged to improve spectrum sensing and management in radio frequency (RF) environments.
This internship will focus on creating a spectrum analysis tool based on signal processing techniques combined with machine learning models to enhance the efficiency of spectrum usage.
Essential Duties:
Contribute technical expertise and work closely with the Signal Processing and RF team to support the development of a robust RF simulation tool that can ingest, process, and export data with the analysis of a machine learning framework (e.g., Reinforcement Learning module).
Additional job functions include solving customer problems, writing invention disclosures, publishing papers, briefing customers, participating in proposal activities and assisting in marketing HRL expertise.
Required Skills:
Proficient in Python, docker, and MATLAB. Simulink is a plus. Understanding of basic machine learning, deep learning, circuit theory, electromagnetics, and signal processing. Working knowledge of RF components communication and radar systems is a plus.
Some experience with modeling and simulating electronic components, RF electronics and circuits is desired. Experience with different families of FPGAs, DSPs, or microcontrollers is desired.
Required Education:
Upper level undergraduate or graduate student in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related scientific discipline.
Coursework in DSP, circuits, electromagnetics, Python, MATLAB programming.
Specialized coursework in radar, communications, antennas, and/or VHDL is a plus.
Special Requirements:
U.S. citizenship is required.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position $30 - $48 per hour.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires for the position.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
