    Job Summary

    A unique and successful coffee start-up is looking for barista shift lead to run the Danville shop 1-2 days a week to start.

    Can grow into full-time quickly. Prepare and serve exemplary coffee beverages, educate customers about variety of coffee beans and coffee drinks available.


    General Accountabilities:
    Greet customers, encourage to try our coffees, including those new to them.
    Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages.
    Operate a sophisticated 2-group semi-automatic Nuovo Simonelli espresso machine.
    Operate different coffee grinders, each designed for a different type of coffee drink.
    Prepare our signature espresso-based coffees, including the natural Mocha.
    Prepare slow brewed Turkish, Greek, aka Arabic coffees.
    Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions as requested.
    Serve prepared foods, such as muffins, biscotti, and bagels.

    Manage other workers in the same shift.

    Job Qualifications

    Prior barista experience required.
    Exceptional customer service, friendly demeanor.
    Understanding of or interest in learning various details of coffee beans roasting and coffee drinks preparation.

    Skills

    Rise early, work hard, serve coffee
    Excellent communication and customer service.
    Must know or interested in learning how to prepare superb cappuccino, latte, and mocha.
    Knowledge of ethnic coffees (e.g. Turkish, Greek, Arabic) and rituals is a big plus.
    Interest in growing into a store manager a plus.
