    Under the Supply Chain Management, the Medical Support Services team (


    DBA:
    Equipment Depot) is accountable for the safe storage and cleaning of the clinical medical equipment, transporting patients from their rooms to various locations within the hospital, and monitoring the replenishment of the respiratory supplies and code cart exchange program.


    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Demonstrate working knowledge of the department's inventory and receiving modules by inspecting and verifying the accuracy of all inbound/outbound medical equipment.
    • Manage and replenish respiratory and code cart supplies on the units. Include ensuring all expiration dates are checked and removed from inventory.
    • Before deployment, document/complete the code cart exchange process via the KitCheck system.
    • Coordinate and schedule all routine and preventative equipment maintenance with the BioMed team.
    • Ensure all medical equipment is appropriately maintained by performing quality control checks, preventative care, cleaning, and delivery/pickup of equipment from the nursing units.
    • Manage dispatch of medical specialty equipment/Beds, arrange transportation of specialty equipment/beds between the vendor and nursing units, and track inventory closely.
    • Transport patients to various locations in the hospital for medical procedures.
    • Ensuring patients are comfortable and safe during transit.
    • Monitor the Facility-Fit system for transport requests and complete them promptly.
    • Respect and protect patient confidence and hospital confidentiality by keeping all sensitive patient information private.
    • Provide superior customer service by communicating clearly, professionally, and timely during all interactions (internally and externally) with customers, hospital personnel, patients, and visitors.
    • Other duties as assigned due to limited resources and activation of the organization surge
    • Ability to work unsupervised in the field, exercising discretion and independent judgment.

    • Tested, maintained, and cleaned equipment to ensure proper functionality.
    • Comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
    • Assist patients or lift patients into wheelchairs or stretchers.

    Education Required:

    High School Diploma, GED, or a higher level of education that would require the completion of high school, is required.


    Experience Required:
    Experience Preferred: 1-2 years' experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred

    Effective time management and punctuality are critical to the success of this role.

    Previous experience in a hospital setting is favorable.

    Excellent emotional intelligence and communication.

    Good physical fitness.
