- Liaise with other hospitals, DSH-Sacramento, and DSH-A Administration to create and execute complex census tracking programs.
- Independently establish statewide procedures and policies related to inter-hospital transfers.
- Create, execute, and manage tracking databases for case management and patient monitoring for transfers to other state hospitals.
- Organize and manage pre-admission paperwork efficiently.
- Convey information clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- BE LIST ELIGIBLE: Successfully pass the competitive State civil service exam for this classification.
- BE TRANSFER ELIGIBLE: Currently employed by the State of California in a similar classification or a comparable one.
- BE REINSTATEMENT ELIGIBLE: Previously held permanent employment with the State of California in a matching or comparable classification.

Job Description and Duties
The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (Forensics- Admission Suite) will be supervised by the Staff Services Manager I in Forensics at the Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero (ASH). The role involves the following responsibilities:
In order to be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet one of the requirements below:
*Proof of minimum qualifications must be provided with the application submission.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: State experience applied to the 'General Experience' pattern should include at least one year at a level of responsibility equivalent to that of the promotional class. Experience can be combined on a proportional basis to meet the total experience requirements.
Education: Graduation from college or equivalent education is required when using general experience to qualify at any level. Additional qualifying experience can substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Promotional candidates within six months of meeting the experience requirement will be admitted to the examination.
*Applicants not meeting minimum qualifications may be removed from eligibility.
Working Conditions
This role may involve occasional work within the Secured Treatment Area (STA).
Special Requirements
