- Lead and mentor a team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Supervise quality assurance functions, coordinate, and assign internal audits, projects and support other activities as directed by the quality manager.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with company goals and objectives.
- Conduct routine quality management system audits to assure conformance with contractual and company requirements.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure quality standards are integrated into every phase of the development lifecycle.
- Test Planning and Execution:
- Create detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases to validate software functionality.
- Lead the execution of test plans, ensuring thorough coverage and timely delivery.
- Automation and Tooling:
- Drive the implementation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks to enhance efficiency.
- Evaluate and integrate new testing tools and technologies to improve overall QA processes.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the QA team and track performance against these metrics.
- Continuously monitor and report on the quality of deliverables, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and support, to address quality concerns and implement improvements.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure a shared understanding of quality expectations.
- Proven experience in a QA leadership role, with a track record of successfully leading and developing QA teams.
- Must be a US citizen.
- This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Must have 10+ years of recent and related quality assurance work experience.
- In lieu of degree: Candidates with 14+ years of recent and related work experience will be considered.
- Ability to work in industrial/administration spaces, often in remote environments where hazards are present that requires specialized training (fall protection, energized equipment, forklift operation, etc.).
- Knowledge of Aerospace Standard AS9100 or ISO9000.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
