Job Summary:
The Switchboard Operator acts as the information center for the hospital by answering and routing incoming calls, providing customer assistance, and recording and relaying messages to the appropriate people.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task, while handling a high call volume.
The Switchboard Operator communicates with external customers and responds to emergency calls following established protocols.In addition, they maintain and update schedules necessary to respond to emergencies and update AMCOM database and pagers as necessary.
