Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for night shifts with ARRT CT certification, IEMA licensure, and Level 1 trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a CT Scan department within a hospital
• Performs computerized axial tomography procedures, including multiplanar reformats and 3D rendered images
• Rotating night shifts (3x12s), including weekends, while permanent staff is trained
• Patient population includes Level 1 trauma cases
• Uses Epic EMR, experience required
• Performs all CT exams and assigned invasive procedures in alignment with department protocols
• Reviews cases with radiologist and assesses patient history for exam accuracy
• Administers IV, oral, and rectal contrast and responds to adverse reactions
• Screens for pregnancy and conducts testing as indicated
• Participates in instruction of students and new staff
• May assume lead or coordinator responsibilities as needed
• Maintains inventory and orderliness of work area, and ensures equipment service needs are reported promptly
• Expected to support other imaging modalities within licensure scope during downtimes
• Workers must not have more than 1 year of continuous assignment; a 6-month break is required after 1 year before returning
• No local candidates within 50 miles are eligible for consideration
• RTO (time off) is not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, or a certificate in Radiologic Technology
• IEMA Radiography License required if applicable
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) or Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB)
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant CT technologist experience
• Demonstrated Level 1 trauma experience
• Proficiency with Epic electronic charting required
• Strong technical expertise in radiology
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and coordinate patient flow independently
• Fluency in English (speak, read, write)
