    Description
    We're looking for a Manufacturing Machinist to add to our team. Our client continues to grow and has positions open to meet current demand. They STAY BUSY and are looking for machinists in a manufacturing setting. The successful applicant will be ready to work and always show up on time, work allotted hours, and eager to grow with the company. This is a Temp to Hire position as well with the company, so a great opportunity to be able to grow. The successful applicant will operate 3 and 5 Axis Vertical Machining centers, CNC Lathes, Mazak, Haas and Fanuc machines to fulfill assigned tasks, and optimize their performance. Experience with Mazak Mazatrol is a plus. Your duties will include performing accurate measurements, producing or repairing precision parts and handling both manual and automated equipment.

    Machinist Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Inspect samples, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications of output.
    • Set the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.
    • Mark material for cutting or shaping, taking its measurements.
    • Prepare appropriate machines (programming, set up and operation) and position or load material for a job.
    • Define and program size of batches, speed of machine etc.
    • Inspect working machines to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues.
    • Review output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects.
    • Manage records of approved and defective units or final products
    • Organize routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.

    Machinist Requirements - Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
    • 2+ years' experience of working in a Machinist position.
    • Significant experience using and programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines, such as lathes, grinders and so on
    • Significant experience taking accurate measurements with precision tools (such as calipers)
    • Excellent knowledge of the properties of metal and other materials
    • Good ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
    • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be a bonus.

    Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
    • Handling heavy loads.
    • Physically demanding.
    • Bending, crouching, kneeling, etc.
    • Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
