    • National OfficeSchedule:Part timeTo advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will work on a highly interdependent team environment to administer prompt and accurate processing of donations; providing first class customer service to our donors and staff.

    This is an on-call seasonal position that averages 16-20 hours per week when needed, which includes calendar year-end, fiscal year-end, and fill-in for vacations and leaves.


    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESProvide support for Donation Services:

    Donation Processes:
    Open and review mail received; verify correspondence contains the necessary informationPrepare and scan checks for depositPerform data entry of donations into the databaseWork closely with team members to meet established receipting standardsHelp with gifts that require additional/special handlingAssist team members with their opening/keying tasks as neededPrepare batches for filingHandle donor interactions and processing of wires, IRA, matching gifts, United Way funds, Canadian donations, IFES transfers, IVP Royalties, Board and Volunteer receipts, and foreign fundsProcess stock and property giftsPrepare corrections (fixes) to donations already processedMaintain portal access (PTRs) for all staff/accountsPrint and distribute receipts to donors and various teamsHandle all receipts that need additional attention (Specials)Handle donor communication regarding incomplete checksEnsure accurate maintenance of donor names and addresses within the data basePrepare and mail packets for new donorsAssist with month-end / year-end processesKeep supplies up-to-date for teamOther duties as assignedCustomer ServiceProvide first-class customer service to our donors and staffHandle all calls to InterVarsity's toll-free lineRespond promptly to customer inquiries via email in a courteous and timely mannerComplete research to respond to donor questionsQUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES3 years' experience with calculator, data entry, and clerical workAccounting/bookkeeping experience desirableFamiliarity with handling financial informationStrong customer service skillsComfortable working with web-based systems/toolsAnnually affirm InterVarsity's Statement of FaithAbility to work in a "team" environment; helping/relying on others, putting others' needs before own needsAbility to cross-train with team membersExcellent organizational skillsExtra-ordinary attention to detailModerate knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word (mail merge)High degree of office administrative skillHigh reasoning and critical thinking ability, which includes defining problems, drawing valid conclusionsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple priorities at a timeAbility to be resourceful with limited standard processesAbility to take charge of tasks and work independently at various timesAbility to work under the pressure of deadlinesAbility to follow written proceduresAbility to maintain donor/staff information confidentiality

    Pay Range:
    $ $19.40 per hourBenefits:
