The Graphic Design AD will serve as the creative director for Guidehouse proposals and sales presentations. You will be responsible for driving the quality of graphics developed for print and digital proposals, client presentations, and other sales collateral.

What You Will Do :

• Creative Direction and Development
• Collaborate with the brand team and PDC designers to continue to develop the visual presentation of the Guidehouse brand for proposals and sales presentations.
• Work with Proposal Development Center and Marketing team leadership to develop guidance and training for Guidehouse staff on proposal and presentation design.
• Create and maintain work systems, processes, and policies that support the graphic design function.
• Serve as the creative strategist for complex and high-profile pursuits, working collaboratively with the desktop publishing team and proposal managers to deliver cohesive proposal graphics that consistently tell a story with visuals, from front cover to back cover and everywhere in between. The products may need to be done in InDesign, Power Point, Word, video, or some combination, depending on the customer.
• Serve as a quality reviewer for proposal graphics and provide constructive feedback to make sure graphics effectively communicate the intended messages, are easy to read, and meet company and/or client brand guidelines as applicable.
• Project Management
• Serve as the project manager for special projects for the Sales Enablement team.
• Coordinate with our business segment sales, proposal, and marketing leaders to make sure design work is prioritized based on the business segment's priorities and the financial or strategic value of requests for design services.
• Develop a strategy for management of proposal and presentation graphic assets, in collaboration with the marketing team. Serve as the lead for the graphics team contributions to a new digital asset management system to be established.
• Training and Development
• Establish standards for skills, training and development for graphic designers in the Proposal Development Center.
• Mentor designers across the team on design software, concepts and techniques.
• Contribute to Guidehouse Learning & Development with training and job aids for non-designers to use Guidehouse branded assets.
• Demonstrate strong presentation and training skills.
• Give and receive constructive feedback in a respectful manner.

What You Will Need :

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university plus 10+ years of professional experience OR 14+ years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
• Advanced skills with the latest versions of Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily Illustrator and InDesign) and Microsoft Power Point. A portfolio or samples of work is required.
• Solid understanding of design fundamentals including color theory, typography, composition, color correction/photo retouching, as well as branding and logotype skills.
• Experience designing proposal and presentation graphics that align with both the corporate brand and pursuit messaging.
• An ability to work collaboratively and in person with pursuit teams to develop graphics that convey complex technical solutions and methodologies in engaging, easy to understand visuals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills - you will be expected to lead regular team meetings as well as virtual training sessions open to all employees. Please provide a cover letter as a writing sample.
• Superior time management and organizational skills.
• Agility to adapt and improve the team's procedures to deliver products that are consistent while driving efficiency and quality.
• Understanding of industry trends and developments as well as new technologies, theories, practices, and techniques related to graphic design.
• Ability to work on-site 1-3 days per week in Tysons Corner, VA (dates/times will vary based on meetings and working sessions).

What Would Be Nice To Have :

• Experience as the creative director for proposals and presentations.
• More than 12 years of proposal and presentation design experience.
• Experience serving as a manager or mentor for a team of 6 or more graphic designers, including remote staff.
• Experience with video editing and production for sales videos ranging from 5 minutes to 60 minutes in length.
• Experience with Ceros and other interactive media platforms.
• Experience preparing proposal graphics and presentations for at least two of following three markets is strongly preferred:
• 1) Federal agencies requiring multi-volume proposals and fully customized, content-heavy orals decks (DOD/FEDSIM) and video presentations for viewing on YouTube (DHS and other civilian agencies).
• 2) State and local agencies with proposals that reflect highly local content and often include multi-day oral presentations.
• 3) Commercial clients who require short-turnaround pitches and Power Point proposals that re-use a lot of content.
