Job summary
The City of Martinez Recreation Department is looking for highly motivated people who have a general understanding of aquatics facility health and safety procedures.The Assistant Pool Manager supervises daily operation of aquatics programs assists in training staff development scheduling evaluating and supervising lifeguard staff prevents accidents responds to emergencies maintains order provides customer service enforces rules regulations performs related work as required.
- Plans leads assigns directs participates in work of staff at City's aquatics complexes including but not limited to all required lifeguard-training skills class instruction.
- Gives direction to lifeguards swim instructors planning organizing class outlines methods goals supporting general teaching outlines American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program assigns lifeguard staff daily rotation schedules ensuring proper coverage times.
- Ensures all aquatics program participants completed necessary paperwork waivers attending classes regularly receive appropriate certificates awards maintaining course records end session completing reports.
