    What You Will Be Doing:
    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled F-35 Aircraft Engine Mechanic to join our team
    This role is essential in ensuring the operational readiness and safety of our F-35 fleet through meticulous maintenance, repair, launch, and recovery efforts

    The ideal candidate will have a background in fighter jet engine maintenance, a passion for aviation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.


    Beyond this, you may also:

    • Execute comprehensive maintenance and repair activities on F-35 aircraft engines, ensuring they meet the highest standards of mechanical integrity and flight safety.
    • Conduct thorough inspections and servicing of aircraft engines in line with Joint Technical Data (JTD) and all relevant program and service guidelines.
    • Lead and support Field-Level Modifications and Time Compliance Technical Data (TCTD) maintenance initiatives, enhancing engine performance and reliability.
    • Coordinate and allocate engine maintenance tasks among team members, fostering an environment of teamwork and efficiency.
    • Provide specialized On-The-Job training to both internal team members and partner aircraft maintenance personnel, sharing expertise in F-35 engine maintenance.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date aircraft engine records and statuses using the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), ensuring data integrity and compliance.
    • Regularly inform the Production staff of aircraft engine status, facilitating effective planning and operational readiness.
    • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Aircraft Supervisor and Associate Aircraft Maintenance Manager, contributing to the overall mission success

    Physical Requirements:
    Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms

    This position is located at a facility that requires special access and an Interim clearance prior to start and maintain an Interim/Secret clearance through out the duration

    Basic Qualifications:
    Requires minimum of 4 years hands-on working experience in 5 or 7-skill level USAF AFSC, CDI/CDQAR Navy NEC, or CDI/CDQAR United States Marine Corps, or equivalent on Fighter Attack Aircraft
    Should have 6 months of hands-on F-35 maintenance experience to include working experience and knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) to include, Anomaly Fault Resolution System, Customer Relationship Management, Joint Technical Data Navigation, Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintenance Vehicle Interface (MVI) activities, Configuration Management and forms documentation and supply chain management activities
    Knowledge of F135 Engine removal & Install Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs

    Desired Skills:
    An FAA aircraft and Power Plant Mechanic license is desirable
    Experience as an On-The-Job trainer
    Proficiency with LM's F-35 Nose-to-Tail maintenance concept Engine Run Certification, fighter aircraft crew escape systems (i.e
    canopy and ejection seat), experience in fighter weapons loading and experience in structural repairs and low observable system maintenance are highly desirable

    Security Clearance Statement:
    This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees
    Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
