    Hillandale Farms is in search of a Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Hillandale Farms, Bozrah CT

    What will you be doing?

    • Diagnose and repair Tractors, trailers, including air brakes, tires, suspension, refrigeration units, starters, doors alternators
    • Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using available equipment, resources and chassis charts to determine how to address problems
    • Complete proper documentation on work orders
    • Maintain established industry DOT standards
    • Work efficiently and make repairs within the recommended time frame
    • Maintain a clean working environment
    • Contribute to helping others and over all team work
    • Focus on job completion as all jobs are approached with a sense of urgency
    • Understand and interpret technical data
    • Complete repair orders
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications/Skills

    • Must have a valid driver's license – CDL Class A license preferred but not required
    • High School / Technical Certificate
    • Acceptable driving record
    • Mechanical experience preferred
    • Must acquire and maintain an EPA license
    • If required, overnight travel to industry classes
    • Must be able to move a minimum of 100 lbs.
    • Manual/physical labor

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: based on experience

    Schedule:

    • Day shift
    • Monday to Friday
    • On call
    • Overtime

    Experience:

    • Mechanic: 1 year (Preferred)

    Work Location: One location
