    Overview

    :

    As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable (AP) department. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team of AP professionals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of optimizing AP processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

    Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate a team of 5 Accounts Payable professionals.Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Process Optimization: Implement and maintain best practices in AP processes.Continuously assess and improve workflow efficiency.Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline processes.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.Address and resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Accuracy and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.Monitor compliance with company policies and relevant regulations, including but not limited to 1099s and unclaimed property.Conduct regular audits to maintain data integrity.
  • Reporting:
  • Manage corporate card programs, including the issuance of cards, monitoring transactions, and reconciling statements.
  • Handle travel and expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Generate and analyze AP reports for management review.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments, including Procurement and Finance, to ensure smooth processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during periodic audits.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts payable roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and three-way match.
  • Experience with unclaimed property filings and other regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience using an AP Automation tool required, Kofax preferred.
  • Experience in a large international complex company, manufacturing preferred, with a high volume of payment activity.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
