Job Position: Family Counselor at Thrive Program
Responsibilities
Program Overview
Our Thrive program offers an alternative approach to Intercept, focusing on diverting youth from deeper involvement in the juvenile justice system. By engaging with the child and their family at a critical juncture, we aim to prevent further legal issues. Family involvement and evidence-based interventions such as Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) are key components of this program.

The schedule is flexible and tailored around clients' availability, though long hours may sometimes be necessary due to close involvement with families.
Counselors must possess a vehicle for work purposes and hold liability insurance, with mileage reimbursement provided.
Salary
$58,000 annually, based on education and clinical credentials.
Qualifications
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline is mandatory. Relevant fields include social work, psychology, criminal justice, among others. Experience in crisis intervention and strong organizational skills are preferred. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate excellent communication abilities, multitasking skills, basic computer proficiency, and flexibility with scheduling.
Applicants should maintain a satisfactory driving record with three or fewer moving violations in the past 36 months.
