    MWI is seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Practitioner or PMHNP who is passionate about patient care. As a Certified Nurse Practitioner/ PMHNP, you will be crucial in delivering comprehensive healthcare to patients. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing, and treating common conditions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal care.

    In addition, you will contribute to health promotion, preventive care, and education for patients and their families. Your role as an APP will require a compassionate approach, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to promoting the well-being of children and adolescents.

    Requirements

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations, including intake assessments & follow-up assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals with mental health conditions.
    • Provide outpatient interventional psychiatric services to include TMS, Esketamine/Spravato, and IV ketamine treatment as appropriate (training available).
    • Create, communicate, and carry out treatment plans with the patient.
    • Complete full and appropriate documentation to support professional billing for services.
    • Interpret test results to diagnose any health issues and provide feedback to patients.
    • Educate and counsel patients regarding medication compliance.
    • Prescribe medications when clinically necessary.
    • Communicate with patients regarding diagnosis and treatment plan.
    • Communicate with and make referrals to PCPs and specialists as appropriate.
    • Provide services at community partnership locations.
    • Maintain required licensure, certifications, and CME credits.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Must possess an active & unrestricted license to practice in South Dakota.
    • 2 plus years of experience in mental health (Preferred)
    • Must possess an unrestricted DEA license in the state of South Dakota.
    • Provider to possess a current board certification by a national certifying body as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Certified Nurse Practitioner.
    • Eligible for credentialing with all major insurance plans.
    • Excellent communication, patient relations, time management skills, and safety awareness are required.
    • Experience with interventions such as TMS, Esketamine/Spravato, and IV ketamine would be favorably considered, but not required, as on-site training is available.
    • Computer literate and experienced with Electronic Medical Records.
