    Description


    The Director of Information Systems will ensure that information technology policies, systems infrastructure and capacity meet the needs of the core functions of the CTWS government.

    Addresses this responsibility by ensuring that strategic long term goals, policies and procedures are adopted and implemented for the Tribe.

    The Director serves as a member of senior management and will operate with both business and technology grounding.

    Must have both the technical knowledge needed to determine how to satisfy business requirements with technical solutions and the strategic vision to identify goals, formulate a business plan and deliver technical solutions on time and within budget.

    Manages information systems activities including systems planning, software engineering, network communications, central computer operations, server administration and computer support. The Director must be able to fulfill all duties within the department of Office of Information Systems.

    Responsible for overall coordination, control, maintenance, and administration of PC's and Mac's within the organization to ensure compatibility and integration.

    Provide operations support for the organizations network and backup support for network administration.

    Special Duties:

    Serve as Managed Care Program primary point of contact for all technical issues, reports to MCP Director or appointee at least 2 times per week for updates on server status, storage concerns and other projects as requested by the MCP Directors.

    Works directly with the vendors of MCP to ensure continuity of service, monitors HIPPA compliance and privacy compliance.
    Requirements

    Bachelor's of Science degree with Information Technology emphasis. Minimum of 10 years experience, 2 years providing network support and 2 more years providing application management support.

    Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening. Valid driver's license and insurable by the Tribe. Must have or be able to obtain industry certifications such as Security+, CCNA, CWNP, HDIp, CIW and CompTia HIT. Must have Microsoft Technical Associate certification.
