- Monday to Friday Full-Time Floater
- 1) General Diagnostic Duties (50%):
- Maintain professional care standards and patient confidentiality
- Implement Raleigh Radiology policies and procedures
- Perform ordered procedures safely and efficiently
- Assess patient's condition and prioritize needs
- Administer contrast to patients as needed
- Assist with various tests and procedures
- Participate in economical supply utilization
- Ensure equipment maintenance and availability
- Establish open communication and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Assist with emergency measures when necessary
- Collaborate with coworkers and physicians in patient care
- Utilize teaching opportunities with patients
- Perform other assigned duties
- 2) Patient Care Activities (35%):
- Obtain patient history and perform assessments
- Observe and assess patients throughout their visits
- Provide accurate patient information to Radiologists
- Document assessments and changes in patient condition
- Provide patient history to facilitate accurate image interpretation
- Initiate communication for continuous quality patient care
- 3) Safety/Infection Control (10%):
- Adhere to safety/infection control policies
- Ensure availability of necessary equipment for care
- Wear protective gear as required for procedures
- 4) Other Duties (5%):
- Assess age-specific patient needs and provide appropriate treatment
- Maintain confidentiality of all facility-related information
- Perform additional assigned duties
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology school
- Additional training in Mammography required within 6 months of employment
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or busy office preferred
- Certification: CPR certification required; ARRT registry within 12 months of employment

Description
Job Description
The main role of the registered technologist at Raleigh Radiology is to conduct diagnostic radiology procedures, mammographic imaging, and BMD procedures, taking care of patients in the process. The technologist must adhere to established protocols, policies, procedures, and specific instructions. Additionally, the technologist must be registered in Radiography and Mammography modalities, rotating through all modalities including BMD. This position is based at the Raleigh Radiology Wake Forest facility.

Basic patient care skills, excellent technical skills in diagnostic imaging, mammography, and BMD, ability to work independently, make sound decisions, follow directions, flexibility, dependability, and professionalism.
