*Shift: *12 hours straight nights every other weekend and holiday

*Hours per week: *36

*Duration: *13 Weeks Contract

*Submittal requirements:
* *ND RRT License** *BLS (AHA)
* *PALS (AHA)
* *NRP** *Covid Card** *2 Professional references from Last or Current Job.
* *Minimum 2 years of recent experience is required as NICU RRT in Hospital.

*Summary: *The NICU Respiratory Therapist assists with special projects, validations, and orientations. This position is responsible for having the knowledge and ability to train staff on all NICU equipment.

*Job Description

• Participates in new staff orientation and annual competency evaluations. Monitors employee validations to ensure completion.
• Participates in creating and reviewing policies and procedures. Participates in department performance improvement programs and adjusts staff assignments for other staff's participation.
• Provides staff development and improvement of clinical skills for clinical team.
• Assists with event/incident reporting for both patients and employee safety occurrences. Reports issues/malfunctions to appropriate departments.
• Functions as department supervisor in his/her absence.
• Performs pain assessment and takes appropriate action according to standard operating procedure.
