    We currently operate between Miami and Orlando - one of the most heavily traveled and congested regions in the United States - and we intend to further expand our rail service to Tampa, Florida, with additional stops proposed along the way.

    Our passenger rail system offers a travel option that is faster, safer, more eco-friendly, more reliable, less expensive, more productive, and more enjoyable than travel by car or air.

    We can operate up to 32 trains daily that are capable of speeds of up to 125 miles per hour, and we own stations located in the heart of downtown cities and major transit hubs in Florida.


    Your Purpose:


    As a demonstrated, entrepreneurial-minded leader with a focus on innovation and teammate engagement and transformational activities, the Manager of Financial Reporting will be a financial leader and a close partner to the Senior Vice President – Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.

    Based in our corporate headquarters in Downtown Miami and reporting to the Senior Vice President – Controller, you will oversee all aspects of financial reporting for both internal and external users, ensure accurate and timely compliance with US GAAP, SEC, and debt reporting requirements as well as provide insights to the financial reporting consequences of proposed transactions.

    The Manager, Financial Reporting will be highly detail-oriented and be committed to driving efficiencies throughout the financial reporting function to enhance the monthly close-to-report cycle as well as the internal controls over financial reporting and consistently deliver high-quality financial data to key stakeholders in a timely fashion.

    They will safeguard the control environment and provide leadership across the controllership team and partner with operational leaders.

    In addition to these duties, the Manager of Financial Reporting will lead the Company's accounting and compliance reporting for its debt, provide technical accounting support and perform special projects, as needed.


    Your Role:


    Direct and oversee the preparation and distribution of financial statements for reporting of multiple legal entities to investors, including a monthly revenue and ridership report highlighting business growth and new business deals.

    Ensure reports, filings, and documentation comply with Company policies, US GAAP, and the Company's reporting obligations.
    Own all financial reporting, including internal controls over financial reporting; examining historical accounting records; technical accounting analysis of transactions; and oversee/produce monthly management reports and other similar disclosures
    Lead the external audit process with the support of accounting leadership, ensuring timely resolution of audit questions and issues and completion of the audited financial statements
    Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in external reporting format, including footnotes and appropriate disclosures
    As needed, prepare management's discussion and analysis of quarterly and/or annual financial results in a manner consistent with SEC reporting guidelines
    Coordinate with functional leadership to analyze variances and accuracy of general ledger accounting prior to the close of the accounting records on a monthly basis
    Partner with the Controller and Assistant Controller as necessary with various month-end close responsibilities, and special projects, as needed
    Prepare presentations on results and substantive analysis for senior management on a monthly basis
    Own the Company's accounting and reporting obligations associated with its debt arrangements in collaboration with SVP Capital Formation and Investor Relations
    Recommend and implement GAAP and SEC accounting and reporting standards
    Liaise with investor relations, FP&A, and operational departments
    Write, implement, and ensure effective and practical corporate policies impacting internal and external financial reporting
    As needed, participate in due diligence and other activities surrounding acquisitions, expansion opportunity analysis and develop pro forma reporting for material proposed transactions
    Perform additional projects and other duties as needed at the direction of the Controller, Chief Accounting Officer, and/or the Chief Financial Officer

    You:
    Minimum of 8 years of professional experience gained working in a public company within a financial reporting environment and managing financial reporting
    Possess deep expertise and thorough understanding of: (i) internal controls over financial reporting in a Sarbanes Oxley environment; (ii) use of automation; and (iii) strong US GAAP technical research and reporting experience
    Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment; absorb and synthesize information quickly; solve problems with multiple priorities, and be resourceful with a positive and professional attitude
    Excellent leadership and management skills with demonstrated ability to think strategically and effect change management and continuous improvement across diverse stakeholder groups
    React quickly and adapt to changes in priorities, circumstances, and direction
    A high level of intellectual curiosity; strong attention to detail; integrity and professionalism; and humility
    Excellent written and oral communication skills
    Advanced proficiency in MS

    Office Suite:
    Word, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint
    CPA & public accounting experience required
    Ability to work onsite in Downtown Miami minimum 3 days per week required.
