    Work Shift:

    Rotating (United States of America)Performs a variety of technician duties relating to the preparation, distribution, and storage of pharmaceuticals for neonatal, infant, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Works with computerized and automated systems for dispensing medications and preparing intravenous admixtures. Participates in the implementation of special projects. Participates in developing and promoting collaborative and collegial relationships with nurses, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel as they relate to the pharmaceutical care of the patients. Teaches and trains other technicians. Performs administrative duties. Valid driver's license and transportation required as the position involves travel to off-site campuses.


    License Certification:
    Registered by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.


    License Certification:
    Certified Pharmacy Technician by a program recognized by the Board of Pharmacy

    Experience:
    1 year of hospital or related experience preferred, including 500 hours (about 3 weeks) as required for Registration; 1,000 hours (about 1 and a half months) experience as required for certification

    Education:
