    Industrial Automation & Controls Technician at Abercrombie & Fitch Co.



    Job Description:

    Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is a renowned leader in retail with a robust distribution network tailored to swift stock delivery and direct-to-consumer order fulfillment. Join our team and showcase your skills in our fast-paced environment. We are currently seeking Industrial Automation & Controls Technicians to ensure the seamless operation of our supply chain. This role involves working with various systems, requiring extensive expertise in electrical and electronics domains, PAC/PLC, Building Automation Controls, Database, and Industrial computers. Technicians contribute to the design, replacement, and retrofit of systems, playing a crucial part in their successful operation. Troubleshooting and repair proficiency are vital to maintain operational efficiency. This position is based at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.

    Responsibilities:

    • The 2nd shift runs Monday - Thursday 4:00 pm - 2:00 am
    • Testing, maintaining, and modifying existing systems
    • Analyzing data and presenting results
    • Managing equipment operation
    • Collaborating with internal staff and vendors
    • Project management within set constraints
    • Troubleshooting and problem-solving
    • Maintaining safety and service level standards
    • Consulting on equipment practices
    • Developing solutions for business challenges
    • Accountability for tasks and projects
    • Developing and troubleshooting GUI/HMI
    • Supporting equipment-associated devices

    Requirements:

    • Willingness to work overtime when necessary
    • Ability to work under pressure with a positive outlook
    • Physical ability to navigate stairs and conveyor systems
    • Some college or equivalent experience of 5+ years
    • Experience in designing and developing control systems
    • Autocad and BacNet experience a plus
