    Klutch Controls is a rapidly growing building technology contractor. We deliver unique Building and Energy Management Systems by performing custom technology solutions for our clients. We're specialized in Healthcare, Higher Education and critical environments.

    Currently we're looking for an Automation/Controls Technical Sales Representative in the Houston Metro area.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Sell Building Automation Systems and controls solutions by establishing and developing relationships with mechanical and general contractors or directly by building relationships with end users.
    • Respond to RFPs by preparing quotations and takeoffs.
    • Selected candidate will support the Commercial Controls Accounts for the Houston/Galveston Region by selling controls and providing technical support to customers (commercial HVAC contractors). This includes but is not limited to: presenting information to internal and external customers, preparation of quotations, responding to customer purchase orders by checking inventory and placing orders.
    • Preparation of submittals to the installing HVAC contractor, general contractor, consulting engineer and building owner, product application support for our commercial customers and responding to customer inquiries.
    • The sales engineer is a technical sales position which acts as a primary contact for the Commercial Controls group and is an integral role for increasing sales of commercial controls.
    • He / she will also be the primary point of contact for all our commercial controls products. BACnet, and all other commercial automation products.

    • Performing this job requires frequent use of hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. Must be able to sit, talk, hear, and stand frequently throughout the day. Must be able to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently. The position occasionally may require lifting heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
    • Individuals may occasionally be exposed to hazardous conditions, high places and/or hazardous equipment. May work with or around chemicals that require knowledge of a safety data sheet.

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of HVAC Controls experience is highly desired.
    • 5+ years BAS Sales Experience preferred
    • Must be self-motivated to achieve annual goals and objectives
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Strong attention to detail, highly organized
    • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
    • Strong HVAC and electrical troubleshooting skills
    • Able to build strong relationships with internal and external customers
    • Ability to influence key decision makers
    • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to recognize the proficiency level of an audience and to present information accordingly
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new programs
    • Ability to handle a high volume of customer inquiries
    • Able to work well in fast-paced business casual office environment and in the field
    • Must travel within assigned territory
    • Must be capable of climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Commercial HVAC DDC controls experience is highly preferred.

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering or any related discipline.
