Position Summary:

This position is QE for ATV - GC Frame Welding Process and AB Paint E-coat and Powdercoat Process.

Responsible for all aspects of quality engineering techniques and methods in an assigned area or project with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Provides support to manufacturing for quality improvement and new product launch.
Interfaces with product engineering, service, and YMC.
Capable of performing advanced quality planning on new model introductions.
Proficient in developing and implementing process controls, spc, and other statistical methods.
Capable of developing and implementing quality metrics to monitor quality performance.
Proficient with problem solving techniques and able to lead problem solving activities.
Capable of initiating and reviewing corrective action for problem resolution
Capable of developing and documenting quality systems, standards, and procedures as required
Professionally adheres to al company rules and policies.
Implement and adhere to all ISO-9000 procedures and strive for simplification.

Qualifications

Education / Experience:

4-year technical degree with 3-5 years experience or 8-10 years equivalent experience.

Other Required Skills:

Demonstrated application of engineering skills and problem solving techniques.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with applied experience working in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

3 years experience in Quality Engineering preferred.

Additional experience:

Experience with Welding preferred, however, the other skills sets below are even more important:

1. Experience with GD&T, interpreting drawings, high knowledge & experiencce on measurement methodology including 3D scanning techniques.

2. Must be able to show strong root cause investigation skills.

3. Must be hands-on, in the process type also with good project management skills.
