    About the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities - Tiffin Developmental Center

    The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) is a trauma informed care agency.

    We offer a state-wide system of supportive services that focus on ensuring health and safety, supporting access to community participation and increasing opportunities for meaningful employment.

    Tiffin Developmental Center is located in the northwest region of Ohio and is home to both adults and youth with developmental disabilities.

    What you will do as a Behavioral Healthcare Provider:


    • Independently developing and implementing treatment plans for individuals residing at the facility
    • Completing assessments and evaluations
    • Providing interventions (i.e. counseling and therapy) in accordance with scope of professional license
    • Working with both mental health and intellectual disabilities (i.e. traumatic backgrounds, autism, suicidal thoughts, aggressive behaviors, impulse control) and provides crisis interventions
    • Participating in the process of establishing, implementing & directing behavioral programs & treatment objectives in conjunction with the inter-disciplinary team
    • Evaluating and modifies treatment plans/programs in response to each individual's progress and abilities
    • Maintaining necessary documentation to satisfy regulatory requirements
    • Training staff
    • Maintaining working relationships with other facilities, agencies and support services to coordinate continuing treatments/therapies upon admission & discharge and conducts follow-up services


    Hours of work are 10AM - 6PM, can vary based on the needs of the individuals and/or facility for meetings, etc.
