    Salary: $55-$60 per hour DOE


    Responsibilities:

    • Install, modify, and troubleshoot LANs, WANs and Virtual Networks at all levels of the
    Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) reference model Layer-1 (Physical), Layer-2 (Data), Layer-3 (Network), and Layer-4 (Transport).

    • Analyze test network infrastructure, develop recommendations, and implement
    improvements for enhanced network reliability and throughput for MCTSSA test and tactical networks.

    • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the test/engineering network infrastructure along with its participating Air C2 systems. Create and execute strategies for enhancing test networks and maximizing these systems to boost network communications capabilities or test infrastructures.

      • Research cutting-edge LAN, WAN, and Virtual Network technologies, including those utilized in USMC tactical networks, that offer enhanced advantages to the existing test and USMC tactical networks according to the OSI Reference Model Layer-1 (Physical), Layer-2 (Data), Layer-3 (Network), and Layer-4 (Transport) solutions.

        • Gather network data from test and engineering events to facilitate event analysis and reporting.

          • Apply operational proficiency and technical knowledge of C2 system integration within LAN and WAN architectures.

            • Manage Windows, LINUX, and Android-based systems by ensuring the use of the most up-to-date software version in compliance with application ATO and program office directives, and installing any necessary patches for optimal functionality.

              • Set up virtualized server computing environment as needed – estimated at least once per month.

                • Deploy, configure, maintain, update, and troubleshoot the virtual infrastructure environments and network administrator workstations.

                  • Define, plan, develop, analyze, and evaluate the network communications security architecture and integrate security measures into tactical systems.

                    • Offer planning support to direct network data collection. Deploy, establish, and operate network data collection test tools during test events.

                      • Create network technical documents upon customer request.
                      • Perform network data analysis, data reduction, and reporting as per established plans and requested deliverables such as generating test result figures/graphs/charts and developing content for Test Reports.

                        • Resolve technical issues with network components, DoD networks, RF communication links, satellite communications links, and ground communication systems.

                          • Develop automated test tools to enhance the automation of network data collection and analysis through the utilization of hardware test tools and/or scripting (Python, Power CLI, Power Shell, etc.), structured programming languages, MATLAB, JMP, MSVS, SCPI, etc.

                            • Configure in-band and out-of-band networks for data collection and analysis services in support of test events.


                              Qualifications:


                              Minimum Position Requirements:

                              • Utilize C2 network expertise through technology processes, methodologies, standards, or frameworks.

                                • Proficient in developing and applying C2 network methodologies in an integrated test environment.

                                  • Experience in designing and implementing tactical network architectures for test events.
                                    • Experience with collecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting network data using Wireshark.
                                      • Knowledge of industry networking best practices.

                                        Desired Position

                                        Qualifications:


                                        • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
                                          • Experience with tactical test networks, NOC services, network infrastructure services, Fleet Marine Force (FMF) exercise networks, shipboard networking, and virtual networks.
                                            • CompTIA Network+ Certification.
                                            • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
                                            • Cisco Certified Professional Certifications of CCNP Routing and Switching.
                                            • Hands-on experience with Riverbed products or SolarWinds products.
