    Job Summary


    Responsible for auditing, training, consultation, and feedback to coders and clinicians on their documentation to ensure Emanate Health Medical Group Services receives appropriate reimbursement and conforms to applicable guidelines and regulations.

    Will create, implement, and monitor productivity and quality metrics for coding staff. Serves as the coding subject matter expert for the physicians.

    Collaborates with physician practices and client services managers to improve documentation and conducts root cause analyses based on system and payer edits.

    Job Requirements


    Minimum Education Requirement :
    Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field required.

    High School Diploma or equivalent with three or more years of relevant experience and appropriate certification accepted in lieu of degree.

    Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred.


    Minimum Experience Requirement :
    Five years of the experience preferred with three years of leadership or supervisory experience.

    Must possess a proficient understanding of National Correct Coding Initiative Edits (NCCI Edits) and ICD 10, CPT and HCPCS codes.

    Experience in coding for outpatient procedures and surgeries for various multi specialties required.


    Minimum License Requirement :
    Nationally recognized coding credential including but not limited to CCS, CPC, COC, RHIAS or RHIT through AHIMA/AAPC. Certification for specialty coding preferred.
